Privacy Policy

Effective from 29 September 2026

This website processes only the data I need to reply to your message and to measure traffic. Below is exactly what, why and for how long.

Contact form and email

What data: your name, email address, website address and message are required; your phone number is optional.

Why: to reply to your inquiry and, if relevant, prepare an offer.

Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For general questions, my legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

How long: 12 months from when you send the message, after which it is deleted automatically. If we start working together, I keep our communication for the duration of the cooperation and invoices and related records for as long as tax and accounting laws require. Copies may briefly remain in the hosting backups until they are overwritten.

Filling in the form is voluntary. Without your email address, however, I cannot reply.

Traffic measurement (Google Analytics 4)

I use Google Analytics only with your consent. Without consent, it does not load at all.

What data: pages viewed, where you came from, approximate location (country, city), device and browser type, and a random identifier stored in a cookie. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.

Why: to see which pages people read and where they come from.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer.

How long: 14 months. After that, Google deletes the data automatically.

Processor: Google Ireland Limited. Data may be transferred to the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Google Analytics advertising features are turned off. I do not use the data for ad targeting.

Cookies

Until you make a choice in the banner, the website sets no cookies. The cookieadmin_consent cookie is set after your choice, even if you reject everything, because the website has to remember your decision. All other cookies are set only with your consent.

Technical operation of the website

On every visit, the server records technical logs: IP address, time, requested page and browser details. They are used for security and troubleshooting. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running the website securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Hosting provider: INTERNET CZ, a.s. (FORPSI), Ktiš 2, 384 03 Ktiš, Czech Republic, Company ID 26043319. The servers are located in the Czech Republic.

Who receives your data

Only processors the website cannot run without:

• the hosting provider INTERNET CZ, a.s. (FORPSI), with servers in the Czech Republic,
• Google, which provides the email service and the mailbox for messages from the contact form,
• Google for Google Analytics, and only with your consent.

I do not sell your data or share it with anyone for marketing. I do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• know what data I process about you and get a copy,
• have it corrected,
• have it deleted,
• restrict its processing,
• receive it in a machine-readable format,
• object to processing based on legitimate interest,
• withdraw your consent at any time.

Just write to seo@janoberpfalzer.com. I will reply without undue delay, within one month at the latest.

If you believe I process your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, www.uoou.gov.cz, or with the supervisory authority in your EU country of residence.

Changes

If the processing changes, I will update this page and the date at the top.
